Our Story

Nicky J’s began with two young men arriving in Toronto with little more than ambition, curiosity, and a serious appetite for good food.
One immersed himself in the city’s diverse food scene—tasting widely, studying flavours, and learning what made great food unforgettable. The other took a different path, stepping into professional kitchens, becoming a chef, and spending years refining his skills through hands-on experience and constant experimentation.
Though their journeys were different, their passion was the same: hot fried chicken done properly. Over time, their paths crossed, their ideas aligned, and their shared obsession turned into a vision. After years of flavour hunting, trial and error, and refusing to cut corners, Nicky J’s Hot Chicken was born. Every sandwich tells that story—crispy, juicy chicken, bold heat, and flavour crafted with intention.
